Check the utility first
Xcel Energy and other Minnesota utilities periodically update their EV charger and off-peak charging programs — funding caps, rebate amounts, and enrollment windows all shift. These are usually the most reliable and current incentive, but they change without much notice.
State programs come and go
Minnesota has run state-level rebate and grant programs for EV infrastructure, but funding for these is often limited and can close once it’s allocated for the year. A program being listed on a website doesn’t guarantee funds are still available.
Federal credits: verify, don’t assume
